My Story

Hi, My name is Beata, the massage therapist :-). As I've lived another decade of my life, I started looking more into ways of improving and promoting my own and my family's wellbeing. I have been doing yoga, pranayama, participating in gong and salt baths, getting used to cold showers and enjoying natural swimming. Oh, and did I mention the 10 day meditation !? ;-). You may have seen me walking through the fields and woodlands picking up nettles or elderflowers for healing potions. All these were very good and I recommend them all. However, the one thing that I missed in my searches to nourish my body and soul was something more (literally) touchable - a Full Body Massage.

The feeling of lightness, release and grounding at the same time, a sense of a warm hug that I didn't know I needed. For a long time I was probably avoiding it, thinking "too much money", or "I would need to shave" or maybe deep down I thought that I didn't deserve such a treat. At last, I could give my body some appreciation and love, rather than abuse, by dieting, punishing exercise and waxing followed by some negative comments along the lines of "need to lose weight". I could just be like my cat, that naturally knows what's good for her. I should have noticed that my raised shoulders would rather get a stroke than listen to an order "relax!" Straighten up!".

The massage seemed to send me into a mindful and calming mode even when I was sharing it with the others, therefore I trained myself in this simple and powerful technique. The practice that addressees your mind, body and spirit, without trying to fix anything in particular so you can just simply feel your experience with no expectations. My body will do everything for me, I can give it something in return.

My professional background is mostly technical as I completed studies and worked in the field of Chemistry. These included a degree in fats and cosmetics, and once I could have named all the fatty acids of most popular oils and how they are processed. Luckily, oil is a key component in this trade and I make sure I use the right one. Due to my past I love reading scientific articles about beneficial effects of a good massage. I also like manual work such as arts and crafts, platting braids and stroking cats. No surprise that my hands also like to massage.

I have also trained in Indian head massage that it's very calming, with no need for extra equipment , oil, no need to take any clothes off.

Reflexology is my recent addition and I'm finding out that it helps almost all my clients with sleeping. Will soon publish more details on how reflexology helped people during my practice.
