What to expect?
Holistic massage
Everybody holds the key to their own healing and during a holistic massage the body gets that little help it needs to return to its healthy balance. It has been shown that massage promotes regulation of the treated body's nervous system, therefore it is naturally regulating all its physiological systems.
Straight after the treatment you are most likely to experience a tension release, reduction in anxiety and improvement in your sleep quality. There will be an improvement in your circulation and a lymphatic drainage. Some may notice better flexibility and less stiffness in their joints. As a result you will be well rested, have more energy, you may again radiate your natural peace and vitality.

Technically, it is a soft tissue massage, mostly slow paced to promote relaxation.

What to expect during the treatment?
An initial consultation is carried out during each treatment. This time is spent on briefly discussing the client's medical history and needs. Typical questions will be: Are you on any medication?, Have you had any injuries? Do you have any allergies? This information allows the therapist to tailor the massage to a client's individual needs. Please allow an extra half an hour prior your first appointment.
Following the initial discussion, the client is left to undress down to underwear, and to lay down comfortably on the massage bed covered with towels. During the treatment, only the massaged area of the body is exposed, whilst the rest is kept warm under the towels. After the treatment you will be left in privacy to get dressed, whilst I will be getting you a glass of water.
During the Indian Head Massage you will remain fully dressed and seated. This treatment can be accessed anywhere with no special oils or equipment, making it quick and effective form of stress relief.
I prefer not chatting during the treatment, unless it's necessary. I found it's more relaxing for the client and makes me more focused on the treatment. Soft music may be played and essential oils may be diffused.
During the reflexology treatment you will be asked to remove your socks. Your position will most likely be reclined. You may find that some reflex areas will be tender. I will make notes about these tender or altered areas and will put extra care around them to return their balance.

After your treatment

In the first couple of days after the treatment you may experience:
tiredness, feeling of tranquillity, light- headedness, improved alertness, headache, sore muscles, increased emotional sensitivity, relief from muscle tension, an increase in bowel and urinary activity and a skin breakout. It may be slightly different after reflexology as it's not a massage.

To maximise the benefits of all the treatments you should drink plenty of plain water (at least 2L), take time to rest, avoid: strenuous exercise, heavy meals, caffeine, alcohol and smoking.
